As the needs of our children and their families continue to change — so will the dynamics of our programs and services. Every day, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte County strive to improve each child’s life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through all of our educational programs.
In 2009, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte County was awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Center by the Florida of Department of Education. The grant established learning centers at our Port Charlotte Club, Port Charlotte High School, LA Ainger Middle School Unit, Murdock Middle School and at the Tringali Recreation Center in Englewood. Services in the learning center are centered around education and life enrichment enhancement. The goals of the program are to improve academic achievement, physical, cultural and social well-being of the participants along with involving parent & family in the education process.
Our youth come to the Boys & Girls Clubs to receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, and mentoring. Our youths gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness and belonging.
